If you are a regular visitor to the James River Park, you should do your part by volunteering now and then. Want to help? Call Ralph 432-1832. The biggest current need is the parking lot at Pony Pasture on busy weekend afternoons, and there is a prize attached.

Friends of James River Park t-shirtI’ve found that volunteering job to be very fun and rewarding – it gives me a great sense of empowerment and ownership of the park. The Friends of the James River Park want to help out, and are offering a prize to those that volunteer:

The Friends are so excited about these t-shirts, which will be coming out this summer, that we’re offering a special deal. If you can help wrangle cars in the Pony Pasture parking lot for 3 shifts, we’ll give you one of our new sweet tee’s. Be the first! Email ElaineMarolla@yahoo.com to sign up for Three For a Free Tee. Thanks!
