What’s worse, blasting “La Cucaracha” or the smell of burning engine oil? Or maybe you dislike dropping a few quick bucks to keep the kids happy with poor-quality sweet treats?

When this ice cream truck showed at Pony Pasture this past Sunday, the kids came running. Children love it, parents hate it.

All vendors are banned from the James River Park, something I didn’t take notice of while I was volunteering. In fact, it would be a $150 fine if ticketed.

This truck sat there for about 30 minutes, twice. Probably made a ton of money, easily more than $150. In fact, I had another man come up to me and ask if he could set up a hamburger cart on weekends. I referred him to James River Park manager, Ralph White.

What do you think? There are many good reasons for vendors being banned in the James River Park, but what do you think?
