The Lewis Ginter Recreation Association has started taking applications for new members for the season, and new applicants can save 20% on initiation fees through April 30.
Located at 3421 Hawthorne Avenue, the recreation association exists primarily to serve the Ginter Park community, but extends membership to non-neighborhood residents on the same basis as to Ginter Park residents. Outdoor facilities include: two pools; a baby wading pool and play area; a large raised deck; basketball hoop and tether ball; vending machines; picnic tables and grills; and a birthday party area. The association also has a large community building on site.
New members are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until membership capacity is reached.
