2100 block of Grove Avenue
Tuesday, March 15, 5:22 PM – Thursday, March 31, 5:22 PM
Unknown suspect entered the residence through an unlocked ground-floor window and stole a cell phone. (Incident was reported on April 19.)

1800 block of Park Avenue
Sunday, April 24, 3:00 AM – 5:00 AM
Unknown suspect entered the residence through the unlocked front door and stole two (2) purses.

April 5
Officer McGovern responded to the 1600 block of W. Grace Street to investigate a report of an intoxicated male trespassing on posted property. When the officer arrived he located the male walking down the street being followed by the property owner. The officer stopped the male and determined he was too intoxicated to speak clearly and could barely stand up. As a result, the male was arrested for public drunkenness and taken to jail.

April 14
Officers McGovern and Raina responded to the 100 block of N. Vine Street to investigate a report of an in-progress larceny from a car. A witness called police and described the suspect and the suspects’ last known direction of travel. The officers quickly located the suspect walking east on Grove Avenue and stopped him. An investigation revealed that the suspect was in possession of several stolen items including the items that were stolen from the car on N. Vine Street. As a result, the suspect was charged with grand larceny and taken to jail.

April 15
Officer Colburn stopped a vehicle in the 1000 block of W. Grace Street that was improperly registered. As the officer approached the car the driver got out and attempted to leave the scene. The officer quickly caught up to the driver, detained him and called for back-up. After other officers arrived on the scene Officer Colburn conducted a protective sweep of the passenger compartment of the vehicle and found a loaded 9mm handgun hidden under the drivers’ seat. As a result, the driver was charged for possession of a concealed weapon and the handgun was seized.
