I continue to work on an important, related project to build Downtown as our community’s cultural destination – the development of a meaningful city ordinance for the creation of arts and cultural districts in the City. City Council has actually been presented with a proposed ordinance drafted by the Department of Economic Development which I and so many members of the Downtown community believes does not meet that demand, nor serve the cultural community and small businesses.
