I’ve written about what a great place to explore the southside rocks at Belle Isle can be, but with all the ice and snow, it adds that little bit more of a twist. Yes, there were still great blue heron and signs of other wild creatures roaming the huge granite boulders, but not like there is in the summer. Definitely a worthwhile visit to see how Mother Nature can shape ice and transform a landscape. Continue reading
