According to the Richmond Times Dispatch, a 24-year-old man was fatally shot in South Richmond on Friday, November 26, 2010.
Joplin Street is located between Commerce Road and Jefferson Davis Highway in the 8th District. Below is the article.
Wendell Jones of the 1400 block of Lenmore Street died at VCU Medical Center, police said.
Police received a report of shots fired about 1:20 p.m. in the 1800 block of Joplin Avenue and found Jones outside of a home with a gunshot wound. Earlier, police said the man had multiple wounds.
Richmond detectives are looking for two suspects, described as a tall, black male and a short, black male, both wearing dark clothing. Police said the suspects were seen leaving the area of the shooting on foot.
