Following Capital One’s announcement last month of plans to add 700 jobs at a new call and operations center in Innsbrook, another Innsbrook-based company, SnagAJob.com, has announced that it will double its size by the end of 2011, hiring more than 150 new employees. The company, which currently has 145 employees, expects to reach a headcount of about 300 by the end of next year.

The company is the nation’s largest hourly employment company and website.

The bulk of the new hires will be entry-level sales positions, but SnagAJob.com also will be hiring for various positions within sales, product management, marketing, advertising sales, operations, software development and client services.

“We’re very excited that we have a number of large-scale, growth initiatives to pursue, and in order to do that, we need to significantly increase the size of our team,” said Shawn Boyer, CEO and founder of SnagAJob.com.

One of the key areas of growth is with the sales team, and SnagAJob.com will be hiring 105 sales account executives. Ninety of those sales account executives will be either entry-level hires or people with one to two years sales experience, with the remaining 15 consisting of more seasoned sales executives. Some executives will come onboard immediately while others will join the company in the first half of 2011.

“The ideal sales account executive needs to show us a high degree of optimism and a tenacious attitude,” said Greg Moyer, chief people officer for SnagAJob.com. “And for our entry-level sales positions, we will invest in candidates with little to no sales experience, but they have to come in with enthusiasm and a personal drive to succeed – attributes we cannot train.”

SnagAJob has been named a Greater Richmond Area Employer of Choice and a Top-10 Best Small & Medium Company to Work for in America for the past three years.

To support its growth in 2011, SnagAJob.com will hire people for more than 50 other positions in sales leadership, product management, marketing, advertising sales, operations and client services. All positions include a competitive base salary and the opportunity for either commissions or bonuses. The majority of the 2011 hires will be located in Richmond, but the company says that on a select, case-by-case basis, some new employees may be located in other states.
