Since moving to Church Hill two years ago, I’ve watched as the number of unleashed dogs increases. Neighbors mingle while their dogs play off leash in Chimborazo and Libby Hill Parks. I’ve watched dogs cross Broad, 27th, and 31st to interact (either aggressively or non-aggressively) with another dog. Luckily, none of the dogs were struck by cars. If people want to mingle and let their dogs off leash, go to the dog park! If you don’t like the one in Church Hill, there are other dog parks close to Richmond. That’s why it, and all the other dog parks, are there. Something is going to happen to someone or someone’s dog, and it won’t be pretty.
