Help Support Educational & Art Programs for Kids
Calling all Greater Fulton walkers and runners! Help support local education and arts programs for kids by registering for the Rocketts Landing Run to the River, a charity run to support the Neighborhood Resource Center. The event includes:
- 5K Walk – fun and easy-paced stroll through Montrose Heights, Gillies Creek Park & Rocketts Landing
- 10K Hill Run – Runners dash along cobblestone streets and through historic neighborhoods in one of Richmond’s best 10K races. If you’re bored with flat races, this is the race for you! With a variety of terrain, challenging hills and scenic views of the riverfront, this is one race you won’t want to miss.
- Finish Line Party – free massages, delicious food & coffee, live music & tours. Open house! Stop by and learn about the programs we offer and what we do.
About the NRC
The Neighborhood Resource Center (NRC) offers kids a safe place to go, learn and grow. We provide after-school programs such as individual tutoring, arts, music and nutrition classes; a sliding-scale Montessori preschool; and resources for adults, including a job search help, a computer lab, Tai Chi, yoga and much more. All proceeds from the race support the NRC, help keep our lights on and the programs running. The NRC is a grassroots, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization located at 1519 Williamsburg Road.
