The Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa in Short Pump opened just over seven months ago, bringing not only the Hilton brand, but an upscale hotel and conference center, to the Short Pump area. The facility, which includes a Shula’s Steakhouse, day spa and full size ballrooms, has picked up a AAA Four Diamond Award for its guest service rating.

“We are very proud of both the facility and the service we provide at the Hilton,” said Neil Amin, CEO of Shamin Hotels. “The standards set by AAA for the Four Diamond Award are high and we are very dedicated to consistently offering this level of service to travelers. From the beginning, we set out to create a unique option for guests of this hotel and to receive the Award is actually quite humbling.”

Just over 3% of AAA rated hotels are awarded the Four Diamond rating. Hotel manager Devin Heath says the award is a result of the team effort of hotel staff since the building’s December 2009 opening. “Shamin Hotels created such a phenomenal hotel and since we opened the doors it has been our focus to match that high benchmark with an equally high level of personalized service,” Heath said. “Our team has been dedicated to this focus and worked hard to establish the Hilton Richmond Hotel and Spa as the ideal location for travelers, groups and meetings.”

AAA Four Diamond Award criteria is described as facilities that deliver a luxury experience, paired with a high level of service, amenities and extraordinary surroundings. For 2010, 2,016 establishments in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean received the Four Diamond rating.
