A bicyclist was gravely injured last night in a collision with a sport utility vehicle near the northeastern corner of the Virginia Union University campus.
I’m guessing that this is either the intersection of Lombardi & Brook or Brook & Overbrook — most likely the later. I ride through that intersection frequently and it is tempting to run the light. – See update.
The bicyclist was taken to VCU Medical Center with life threatening injuries.
Update
From today’s daily police report the accident was at the intersection of Lombardy and Brook. You’d be crazy to just ride through that intersection.

- A bicyclist collided with a car. His injuries are life threatening.
