RICHMOND, VA –Beginning Monday, April 12 – Friday, April 15, 2010 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., the City of Richmond Department of Public Utilities will be closing the right lane in front of 3322 West Cary Street in order to install a water service. There will be one lane of traffic kept open at all times and signs and barricades will direct motorists around the construction area. Parking may be restricted in the immediate construction area. Motorists are asked to proceed with caution in this area. Minimal delays are anticipated.
I guess minimal delays are relative. The 60 minute delay on Interstate 95 was significantly worse than the 15-20 delays that this could cause. Here is was NBC12 is reporting.
