Charges have been withdrawn in the July death of D’Sean Williams:

Circuit Judge Clarence N. Jenkins Jr. withdrew charges of child neglect and felony murder against Ashley C. Williams, 25, in the death of 2-year-old D’Sean Williams, who weighed 14 pounds when he died in May, far less than typical for a child his age, authorities said.

Williams’ trial had been set for Jan. 20-21, but it cannot go forward without a cause of death, said Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney Mary E. Langer. Authorities could bring charges back later, depending on the final autopsy results, Langer said.
