Expect to see a bunch of runners in the Fan on Saturday morning–participating in the Richmond marathon, half-marathon, or 8K. The exact routes are here. The marathon races up W. Main Street and then north on the Boulevard, about 17 miles into the 26.2 mile course. At that point runners will need any support they can get. The marathon returns to the Fan from the Northside in the final miles crossing Broad Street on Lombardy Street before heading East down Grace Street.
The 8K races up (west) on Broad Street, before cutting across on Mulberry and then back down Grace Street.
Get out of your house tomorrow morning and cheer on these runners. They’ll need your support. Weather should (finally!) be dry, offering great conditions for the race. If you have to drive tomorrow morning, be prepared for street closures and detours.
