RVANews breaks the news that City Dogs in the Fan (at 1309 W. Main St.) could be open as early as today. With a sports bar feel, game room, outdoor patio deck, and other amenities, City Dogs in the Fan is ready to welcome customers. And they have plans to continue to host some shows (much like former tenant Nara Sushi).

“The community embraced our first location, and it’s atypical to have that growth vehicle,” said Boykin. “We’re really creating a fun, safe environment for everyone to enjoy.”
Update: Visited City Dogs in the Fan on Friday with our 3 kids and friends with 2 kids of their own. Let’s just say the whole experience was a big hit (for young and old). The dogs were good, the service (to our admittedly difficult group) was patient and knowledgeable, and the bathrooms supplied chalk for the graffiti-prone. Welcome City Dogs!
