One person was killed and another injured early this morning when they were thrown from their all-terrain vehicle after it struck a deer on Beach Road in Chesterfield County.

Chesterfield police Lt. Randy Horowitz said the driver of the ATV, Mark E. Laffoon Jr., 18, of the 13200 block of Balta Terrace was pronounced dead at Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center shortly after the 12:30 a.m. crash.
