Police Investigate Suspicious Incident

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Police are investigating a suspicious incident in which a man approached an 8-year-old Chester boy at a school bus stop soon after he was dropped off. Police said the suspect approached the young boy on Hyde Park Drive between 2:55 and 3:10 p.m. on June 3. The suspect told the victim he had been sent by the victim’s mother to pick the victim up. The victim immediately fled the area. The incident was not reported to police until the victim approached an off-duty officer who was visiting Curtis Elementary School on June 9. The suspect is a thin, white male, 35-45 with collar-length brown hair and brown eyes. He wore a red and blue shirt and white shoes. The suspect may be driving a red, four-door pick up truck with a camper shell.
