Residents on Kain Road, just off Pouncey Tract Road across from Short Pump Middle School, awoke Sunday morning to an unpleasant surprise. Almost all the mailboxes on the westbound side of the road were either damaged or destroyed by vandals who struck overnight.
Neighbors along the road think someone in the passenger seat of a vehicle took a baseball bat to the mailboxes while someone else drove. They’re concerned that this vandalism could lead to bigger problems such as damage to their cars or homes. So far, no suspects have been named in the case.
