At approximately 9 p.m. on Nov. 17, police responded to the 7100 block of Wentworth Street for a report of a gunshot from inside an apartment. At approximately 9 p.m. on Nov. 17, police responded to the 7100 block of Wentworth Street for a report of a gunshot from inside an apartment. Once inside the residence, police found a victim who had been shot. The victim was transported to VCU Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Police are withholding the name of the victim until notification of next of kin.
Police remain on scene as they continue their investigation and they are looking for a green, Isuzu Trooper seen leaving the area at the time of the incident. Anyone with information is urged to call the Chesterfield County Police Department at (804) 748-1251 or Crime Solvers at (804) 748-0660.
