An argument between two brothers last night resulted in the death of one of the men. Richmond Police received a call at 10:50PM last night regarding a domestic dispute at 3204 Fourth Avenue. Officers found Albert W. Brown, 29, unresponsive inside the residence and he was later pronounced dead at VCU Medical Center. The preliminary investigation indicates that a verbal dispute between the two men escalated to a physical altercation. Charges against the brother are pending further investigation.

The Richmond Police Department investigation into an altercation that resulted in the death of a man last night on Fourth Avenue has determined the actions that led to his death were in self defense.

Richmond Police has conducted an extensive investigation into the cause and manner of this death. The Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office also reviewed the incident and has declined to prosecute based on the facts presented in the investigation.
