Police Investigate Fatal Crash
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – The Chesterfield County Police Department is investigating a two-vehicle crash that killed one man. The crash occurred in the 11300 block of Chester Road at about 1:45 p.m. today. Police said a 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling north on Chester Road when the driver collided with a 2005 GMC dump truck turning onto the southbound lane of Chester Road from a private drive. The driver of the Kawasaki motorcycle, Damon Welle, 19, of the 9000 block of Lost Forest Drive, died at the scene. The other driver was not injured. Police continue their investigation into this crash.
