Richmond continues to feel the brunt of last week’s storm. This was posted on the Richmond Vegetarian Festival website:

The City of Richmond has informed us that the park will not be ready for the festival this Saturday due to the big storm this past weekend. Effective immediately we will need to use our rain date, Saturday, July 9th.

This Saturday, June 25th from noon to 6PM join in the fun at the Richmond Vegetarian Festival held in the Azalea Gardens at Bryan Park.

All the usual festival fun will be there, you know food, music, speakers, local businesses and nonprofits.  Admission is free and you can bring along Fido as long as he’s on a leash, well behaved, and has all his shots.

It’s not all about the fun there are also some charities to help out.

Change Rocks Foundation
Every year the festival chooses a local charity to highlight. This year we chose The Change Rocks Foundation. This amazing organization empowers vulnerable youth through education, capacity building and the arts. Since 2006, they have trained over 250,000 at-risk youth, sex trafficking survivors, advocates and educators in 12 countries around the world. They are in desperate need of feminine hygiene products for young women they help in other countries.

Please bring feminine hygiene products to the Change Rocks Foundation booth at the festival and learn more about them at changerocksfoundation.com.

LAMB’s Basket
Also, don’t forget to bring a can of vegetables to the Festival for the LAMB’s Basket!

The LAMB’s Basket is an emergency food pantry located in Lakeside serving the hungry of Henrico Coun
