Firefighters become grassfighters

Attack fires, attack grass, they do it all.

You may have read yesterday in the RTD that due to budget issues the city is greatly reducing the amount of mowing it will be doing in the city. This is good news if you’re grass and weeds, bad news for pretty much everyone else.

In picture above you can see Fire Station 17 in the background. In the foreground you can see the firefighters of Truck 22 cutting the grass of Canoe Run Park, so kids won’t get lost in the jungle. Fighting fires, saving lives, cutting the grass. Is there anything these men and women won’t do for our neighborhoods?
