LISTEN: 20 minutes with Margaret Nimmo Crowe
In this first installment of our YWCA Outstanding Women Awards series, Margaret Nimmo Crowe talks about what we can do to help Virginia’s children.
The YWCA presents their 36th Outstanding Women Awards this year, and it’s an annual happening we over here always look forward to. This time around, six of the nine honorees were able to sit down with me and talk about their lives, their passions, their experiences, and generally give us a glimpse as to why the YWCA thinks they’re such awesome individuals.
We begin with Margaret Nimmo Crowe, Executive Director of Voices for Virginia’s Children. She’s a personal and professional advocate for policies that help empower all children in the commonwealth–if we’re not looking out for them, who will be?
I met with Margaret in the conference room of their office downtown. Here’s just a few minutes of our conversation.
