A few facts to ponder:

  • Adds 93,000 square feet of new construction and 63,000 square feet of improvements to the existing Monroe Park Campus library
  • Redesigned Starbucks and enlarged to 3,400 square feet
  • 90 percent of the new library’s square footage is for study space and student use, not for offices or housing books
  • The library hosts 2 million visitors each year
  • 1,500 seats were added doubling the number of sitting spots
