RPD seeking suspects in December 19th shooting

Suspects Sought in Shooting on Mechanicsville Turnpike

Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify the individuals in the attached picture, who are suspects in a shooting that occurred in the city’s east end.

At approximately 8:05 p.m. on December 19, officers were called to the 1600 block of Spotsylvania Street for a report of a person shot. When they arrived, they found a juvenile male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigation quickly revealed the shooting occurred in the 1500 block of Mechanicsville Turnpike. Prior to the incident, four individuals involved were captured on surveillance video as was a vehicle of interest, which is seen parking at the beginning of the video.
