Not great happenings over the past few days
Here’s a quick rundown of what we know about the various shootings that happened this weekend, which injured two and killed three, one of which was 12-year-old girl caught in the crossfire.

But in better news
Stephanie Ganz brings a little more detail to the news that two more food-based businesses are coming to the East End–Frontier and Kolache, both based on Texas-style cuisine! Everything’s bigger in Texas, including appetites.

We mean like, seriously cool
Molly Szkotak of Ledbury and of our hearts put together this gift guide of super-chic stuff to get for the hippest among your friends and loved ones. Not all of it is cheap, but almost all of it is stuff you can run out and get locally, just in time for the holiday.

This is seriously UNcool
That driver who crashed into an Ashland Chipotle and then backed OUT of the Chipotle so as to flee the scene has been caught. If you enjoy videos of people doing insane things, you should watch the video within that post. Really makes you think about how when you’re eating at a Chipotle, you’re essentially trusting any passing driver to refrain from crashing into it. Our lives are built on trust!
