Update: No evidence to support car window shot out on Chipenham Parkway

Incident occurred a little after midnight Friday morning.

Update #1 — September 11, 2015; 2:09 PM

From CBS6:

A broken windshield on Chippenham Parkway was not caused by a gunshot, Virginia State Police spokesman Sgt. Steve Vick said. Police sources earlier indicated officers were investigating the incident as a shooting.

“The incident that was worked by State Police last night was a back glass that was shattered, there was nothing that penetrated the glass. There was no evidence of a shooting,” Sgt. Vick said. “The white van that was reported by a ‘police source’ was a van that happened to be on the road and other than that had no part in the glass incident.”
