RTD Dines at GWARbar
Nachos, beer and GWAR.
The ambitious menu, heavy with satire, synthesizes the culinary world and intense music culture of the band. But the food, while being outrageous and playfully incorporating gore in the form of ingredients, is also overdone. Dishes at the Jackson Ward bar go over the top in the wrong direction — overcooked, oversalted, overbreaded.
Not the best review of GWARbar. I’ve only been once so can’t give a proper review but I’m definitely going to swing back by for the music that was playing, beer selection, movie on the TV, the laid back patrons, and the nachos. Also I love the location is little off the beaten path and providing a bit of life away from the main drag.
