VCU commencement on Saturday

The commencement ceremony starts at 10 a.m. at the Richmond Coliseum, 601 E. Leigh St. Doors will open at 9 a.m. plan your travel accordingly.

Virginia Commonwealth University will award more than 5,000 degrees during its 2015 May commencement exercises on Saturday.

Gov. Terry McAuliffe is this year’s commencement speaker. The commencement ceremony starts at 10 a.m. at the Richmond Coliseum, 601 E. Leigh St. Doors will open at 9 a.m. Those attending should allow plenty of time as there is construction in the area.

Due to construction near the Richmond Coliseum, media parking is extremely limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for media who request parking in advance. Media vehicles either should be marked or should display a media placard.
