RTD dines at Foo Dog

Get some Foo in you.

I managed to catch a World Cup game at Foo Dog and as always was impressed by their beer selection, staff, and appetizers. My wife’s noodle were pretty darn tasty as well but I only got a bite.

RTD checks it out with this review and has a similar experience.

If you consider yourself a hard-core ramen connoisseur, Foo Dog might not live up to your diverse expectations, but its inexpensive, filling bowls of appropriately bouncy, al dente noodles (flown in from NYC) and decently flavored broths add another dimension to Richmond’s dining scene.

But Foo Dog isn’t just ramen. A large portion of chef Ken Liew’s menu features fusion-inspired twists on Asian street food — everything from miso-grilled squid ($8) to lamb tostadas with Thai peanut sauce ($8) to Foo Wings with Korean barbecue sauce ($6) — which I found to be the more exciting section of this energetic eatery’s menu.
