Fire at Urban Farmhouse in Church Hill (UPDATED)

Marketing manager hopes to have the issue resolved today, plans on going ahead with a “modified” Last Fridays tonight

I just spoke with Joshua Soto, a patron who was at Urban Farmhouse around “10 or 10:30” this morning when the fire alarm went off.

“I  was sitting in the back in one of the chairs,” he said. “All of a sudden the alarm goes off, like an earpiercing alarm.”

He put his computer down and ran outside. He says that when the fire department arrived, they entered one of the apartments above the shop.

When he had a chance to look inside, he said he saw water (about 2 inches already on the floor, in his estimation) cascading into the Urban Farmouse from the second story apartment.

Peyton Ware, the Urban Farmhouse Marketing Manager, just stated via email that they are aiming to have the problem resolved soon.

“I was told by our owner we will have the issue resolved within a few hours,” She said. “We are still planning on having our Last Fridays event just may have to modify a few things. “
