Police seek Broad Street bank robber

Robbery occurred at 11:45 AM today.

RPD Statement.

The Richmond Police Department needs the public’s help to identify and find the man in the attached surveillance photos who robbed a bank this afternoon.

At 11:44 a.m., a man walked into the SunTrust Bank at 1801 W. Broad St. and passed a note to the teller that demanded money. He did not display a weapon and left on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male between five feet five inches and five feet ten inches tall. The suspect was wearing blue jeans, a red sweatshirt and a black knit hat.

Anyone with any information about the identity of this man is asked to call Detective William Cutshall at 646-1068 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000 or text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “ITip” followed by your tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
