Good morning, RVA! It’s 40 °F, and it is Thanksgiving! The next couple of days look beautiful with highs in the mid-to-upper 60s. Clouds will start to roll in by the end of this long weekend or the begining of next and we might could see some rain. But until then, enjoy each and every turkey feast you have planned!

Happy Thanksgiving, y’all! Whatever your traditions may be, I hope they go swimmingly and are swimming in gravy. If one of your traditions is watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, you can catch that begining at 9:00 AM on NBC. If this is not part of your existing traditions, Planes, Trains and Automobiles is streaming on Netflix and could totally become your newest tradition!

Yams? Sweet potatoes? What’s the difference?

Buzzfeed did a bad, bad thing and made gravy with Soylent. They also made a bunch of other traditional Thanksgiving foods out of weird foodtech products, which is fine, but, like, don’t mess with gravy.

FiveThirtyEight asked folks what they eat for Thanksgiving and the results prove my longstanding theory that the West Coast is inferior to the East Coast.

Word on the street is Hokie Athletic Director Whit Babcock is close to nailing down Frank Beamer’s replacement. Current favorite rumor is Justin Fuente of Memphis. Weirdly, Fuente played at Murray State, where Frank Beamer got his head coaching start.
