Two teens arrested following weekend shooting at Magnuson Hotel

It’s the second shooting at this particular hotel in 2015.

Henrico Police are investigating a shooting at a Near West End hotel–the second in 2015 at the same location. On Friday, April 17th just before 1:30 AM, Henrico Police responded to the Magnuson Hotel in the 6500 block of West Broad Street for reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, authorities located an adult male, who had suffered a non life-threatening gunshot wound and was subsequently transported to VCU Medical Center for treatment.

Witnesses were able to provide officers with a description of the involved suspects and their vehicle.

Henrico Police, with the assistance of Richmond Police, located the involved vehicle in the 2700 block of Willamar Street.

As a result of the investigation, Henrico Police have charged David Jerome Lewis, Jr. of the 3900 block of Peyton Avenue and William Reed Jr. of the 2700 block of Willamar Street, both 18, with one count of aggravated malicious wounding and one count of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony each.
