TIP! You can shop Swedish without leaving your home
We hear that some people like going to IKEA, but we have no idea who they are or what is wrong with them.
Sure the KonMari method says the only storage you need is a couple of shoe boxes and whatever closets you’ve got, but the reality is that you will at least need some drawers to put those shoe boxes in. And if you’re one of the people that thinks KonMari is a bunch of baloney, you probably could use some new storage furniture to hold all of those belongings you keep despite the fact that most of them don’t bring you joy.
Clearly, IKEA is the answer to your storage needs, but also just as clearly, driving all the way up to IKEA sucks. That’s why Swedish Home Dash & Delivery exists. You give them your IKEA shopping list, they quote you a price, and go get the dang stuff for you–delivered straight to your home or office. How amazing is that!? So get your BILLYs, MALMs, and VALJEs without having to acknowledge that Northern Virginia exists.

I love going to Ikea, but I used these guys for delivery of stuff that wouldn’t fit in my car. Their delivery fee was cheaper than Ikea’s and they delivered at a mutually convenient time (vs. Ikea’s 2 weekday options with larger delivery windows, e.g. Monday 8-12). They were also very responsive by email and very friendly. I definitely plan to use them again! If you hate fun they will also build your Ikea furniture for you.
Highly recommend this service. They are incredibly nice, very accommodating, and reasonably priced.
