Tips on what to do if a sale item is out of stock, the 411 on where you can get canned foods for nothing, and (of course) you’re regularly-scheduled, money-saving finds around Richmond.
With the holidays coming up, expect to see lots of bargains on baking essentials and canned goods. There are truly too many great prices to list this week — stock up!
What if a sale item is out of stock?
Check the endcaps (shelves at the end of each aisle). sometimes there are extra quantities of promotional items displayed there. MARTIN’S additionally has side endcaps where it stocks promotional goods. At Kroger, the seasonal aisle also often contains additional supplies of sale merchandise.
Get a raincheck. If it’s an advertised sale, just go to customer service and tell them the item you want to purchase. They’ll issue you a raincheck valid for up to a certain quantity at the sale price.
If you’re desperate, try to find an employee who can check in the back for you and/or who knows when the store might receive its next shipment.
Kroger has some amazing deals in its 10-item Mega Event running this week and next — save $5 when you purchase 10 or more participating items (mix and match).
