Inaugural Henrico Restaurant Week raises $4,500 for Virginia Home for Boys and Girls

The event aimed to raise awareness for mainly locally-owned Henrico restaurants and raise funds for charity.

From the Henrico Citizen:

The inaugural Henrico Restaurant Week, April 11-19, raise more than $4,500 for the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls. Representatives from the Henrico Citizen and participating restaurants gathered May 21 at VHBG, where Citizen Publisher Tom Lappas presented a check for $4,525 to VHBG President Claiborne Mason.

Henrico Restaurant Week involved 34 Henrico restaurants, who created special fixed-price menus that were available to diners during the event. Each restaurant donated $1 from the sale of each special Restaurant Week lunch and $2 from the sale of each Restaurant Week dinner to the VHBG.
