The year was 2014. The man was Marc Cheatham. The subject…was hip hop. RVA hip hop to be exact!
Marc, aka Cheats, has a fantastic site, as you probably know, that has fulfilled its promise of becoming a movement. There, you can learn from people who know a ton about local hip hop and are more than happy to educate you in a non-condescending way.
Cheats accomplished a lot in 2014, acting as an ambassador for the hip hop scene, and bringing artists to events like Fall Line Fest and Riverrock.
Now, to complete a bangin’ twelvemonth, Cheats wraps up the year in local hip hop and presents it to you as a free download. Presenting: The Year was 2014: The Mixtape.
