Icelandic Adventure

by Matthew McDonald

I took a trip with two friends around the country of Iceland. These are some of the things I saw while I was there. It’s a beautiful country. Oh yeah, and the people of Iceland believe in elves.

To see the rest of the pictures I took there go to my flickr page.

and i have no idea i would assume nike paid for it to be there. at one point.

it was on top of a building but there was a fence in front of it so we couldnt actually see what the building was.

    TALK MORE ABOUT THE ELVES.

Elves are great. Icelandic elves are more like Lord of the Rings Elves though, not Santa’s helper elves. More often they call them Huldafolk(Hidden People). There are all sorts of stories about people being kidnapped by Huldafolk up in the north of Iceland. They believe that Huldafolk live inside of the mountains, and in some places, they have actually built roads around the mountains, so as not to disturb their homes. Some people claim that they can see them, and they roam the country side, and paint tiny houses on the rocks, which they believe the Huldafolk live in. Some people still worship Thor too.

Took honeymoon there. Highly recommend it.
Hope you took time to visit some of the record stores, which fiercely promote Icelandic music.
