Shamrock The Block kicks off the spring festival season this Saturday

The annual Irish-themed street party kicks off at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 12th.

Shamrock The Block, the first major street festival of the year, returns to the Boulevard this Saturday, March 12th. North Boulevard will be shut down for the festivities between West Broad and West Leigh Streets, and food vendors from the neighboring Scott’s Addition neighborhood and beyond will be on hand.

Beer from neighborhood breweries and beyond will be available for purchase from several trucks as well.

Live music opens the festival at 11:00 AM with Baldy McGregor, followed by Cabin Creek, Footwerk, La Unica, and finally The Barons to close the day out at 4:00 PM.

There will be a kids’ area (the Boulevard iteration of the festival is much more family-friendly than the previous location in Shockoe Bottom) with face-painting, moonwalks and other inflatables, games, and more. Leashed pets are welcome.

The festival kicks off at 11:00 AM and runs through 5:00 PM.
