Kickers battle Bethlehem
Soccer supporters supporting Richmond public schools.

Bethlehem Pennsylvania has a long soccer history. In the beginning of soccer in the US teams from the steel town were a force to be reckoned. Bethlehem Steel F.C. was in operation from 1907 to 1930 and managed to forge 22 major cups including nine League Championships.
In 2015 Bethlehem Steel F.C. was reborn as an USL team. This Saturday marks the first time the new Bethlehem Steel makes an appearance in Richmond.

This will also be a good game to bring the young ones in a swim suit because it’s SUMMER FEST at City Stadium. SUMMER FEST means it’ll be hot, humid, you’ll sweat in places that don’t normally sweat. It also means that live music starts at 5:30 PM, there’s a one-of-a-kind splash zone featuring a 40-foot slip ‘n slide and a 20-foot water slide, inflatable games, obstacle course, face paining, RVA food trucks and craft beer on tap. All those things are way better than sweating.
Speaking of kids there will be a rally and march leading up to the game. Whether you have a child in RPS or not it’s not a bad idea to have your voice heard and join fellow marchers.
Join us this Saturday! WEAR RED and march UNITED to City Stadium! RPS STUDENTS, TEACHERS & EMPLOYEES are ALL FREE on RPS night!!! Meet at John B Cary, 6:15pm, The Richmond Kickers Red Army folks are very excited about this event and we hope to make it an annual rally in our efforts to #SupportRPS!
