Mark Holmberg discusses the petition to revamp the Church Hill Tunnel

We first covered Stefanie Lacks’ petition to clean-up the Church Hill tunnel this past Friday.

Today, our story idea has made it all the way to CBS 6. Mark Holmberg interviewed Lacks about her petition and outlined the history of the Church Hill Tunnel.

Here’s an excerpt:

Lacks said it’s too late for the western portal off 18th Street. Even though there’s a historic marker, it’s facing the wrong way, Lacks said, and the tunnel entrance itself is cordoned off away from the public inside the parking lot and locked gate of the Atrium Lofts apartments.

And she’s right.
