Benefest: Back To The Real

Benefest was assembled as a concert to raise funds and awareness for the Music Resource Center in Richmond (MRC-RVA). The Music Resource Center’s mission is “to educate and inspire young people and through music, equip them with life skills for the future. We will accomplish this mission by utilizing music, art and dance education in an exciting, welcoming atmosphere that balances the fun of creating art with the hard work, self-discipline, and perseverence essential to life’s success.” This is a wonderful cause worthy of attention and in need of help.

The event is being held this Friday, Feb. 15, at The Canal Club. The line-up of bands is as follows:

6:00 Good Dog
7:00 No BS Brass Band
8:00 Rex Richardson
9:00 The Sweet Collision feat. Tara Foster
10:00 Upper East Side Big Band
11:00 Think?
12:00 The Big Payback
1:00 Modern Groove Syndicate

Rex Richardson’s 8:00 performance is being emphasized as one of the highlights of the event. His group will consist of Richardson (tpt), Jason Arce (sax), Trey Pollard (gtr), Matt Hall (bs), and Kelli Strawbridge (dr).

The ticket price is an unbelievably-low $10, so support this great cause and catch some incredible music.
