Kickers start playoff run this Saturday

Our Kickers are once again one of the best teams in the USL2 soccer league finishing up the season in 2nd place. Now comes an exciting playoff run! The defending champs host the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the semi-final game this Saturday at 7pm at City Stadium. Come on out and support the team! Tickets are $12/adults and $7/youth(ages 3-17) and are available at RichmondKickers.com.

Kickers advance to 2nd round of US Open Cup!

Our Richmond Kickers hosted the NASL Crystal Palace Baltimore last night in the opening round of the US Open Cup winning in overtime on a 119th minute header from Matthew Delicate.

SPORTS! Kickers lose it late

  • The  Richmond Kickers  kept it close until the first minute of stoppage time but couldn’t hold on. The Mexican National U-21 team scored two in the final three minutes to bring the score to 1-3.
  • The  Richmond Flying Squirrels  swept the New Britain Rock Cats and leave the series with a 7-7 record. After a couple of happenings around the division the Squirrels are now in third place. The team takes the day off today before heading to Reading on Friday.

  • The  Kickers  take on the Mexican U-21 soccer team tonight at 7:30 pm — assuming the game is not canceled by weather.
  • The  Squirrels  finish up their series with New Britain tonight — again assuming weather isn’t an issue. The Flying Squirrels have won five of the last six an are now 6-7.

Kickers scrap to a 2-2 tie in season opener

While I know the Kickers will be a little disappointed not to get the 3 points from the home game they looked a lot more dangerous tonight than against UVA a couple weeks ago, and that bodes well for this season!
