VMFA’s Jazz Cafe continues

Jazz Cafe at the new Virginia Museum of Fine Arts’s Best Cafe continues in July, presented by the VMFA and Richmond Jazz Society. Every Thursday, a different band plays in the cafe, and there’s no cover charge. If you haven’t made it to the beautiful museum since its massive renovation, plan to go on a Thursday between 6-9pm for some free (of charge) jazz. Next up in July:

July 8 - Debo Dabney Trio
Richmond’s all-time favorite soulful Jazz pianist

July 15 - Gypsy Roots Trio
Keeping the tradition of Gypsy Jazz alive – Manouche!

July 22 - Jason Jenkins Trio
Bassist Jason Jenkins puts his spin on Mingus and Monk, Jazz straight ahead!

July 29 - Quatro Na Bossa
Jazz meets Samba and Bossa Nova
