The Franklin Inn announces Kristin Knight as new executive chef

Knight has had stints at Salisbury Country Club and Capital One, among other businesses.

The Franklin Inn on North Cleveland Street in the Museum District has hired a new executive chef Kristin Knight as executive chef.

Knight studied at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and holds a certificate in Bakery and Pastry Arts. Her cooking experience includes stops at Salisbury Country Club and Head Cook at Capital One, among other venues.

“We are really pleased to bring someone in with Kristin’s background,” owner Steven Gooch said in a news release. “She will bring a level of creativity to the classic American Fare we currently serve, while helping us maintain high quality and standards in our kitchen as we strive to consistently provide an excellent customer experience.”

“I’m very excited for the chance to cook classic American food in a neighborhood restaurant like The Franklin Inn,” Knight said. “It will be great to cook for my family and friends in my hometown, and hopefully new friends, too.”

The Franklin Inn is located at 800 N. Cleveland Street.
