Ashland Berry Farm
Pumpkin picking, including an “All the Pumpkins (from the field) You Can Carry & Take 3 Steps Just $20” schtick. Hayrides, mazes, and haunted evenings available.
Date: October 12th-31st
Time: Open weekends from 10am to 5pm. The last hayride leaves at 4:30pm. Open weekdays from 1pm to 6pm. The last weekday hayride leaves at 5pm.

Belmont Pumpkin Farm
Hayrides out to the pumpkin fields, mazes, farm animals, face painting and more.
Date: Every weekend in October, as well as Tuesdays and Thursdays. Open to school groups Monday through Friday (call for details). Haunted hayrides run October 16th through October 23rd.
Time: Open 10am to 6pm on weekends and from 1pm to 6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Location: Rt 617 at North River Road (Mathews County)
Cost: $4 for ages 2 to 62, $12 family rate. Military families are free!

Boulevard Flower Gardens at Ruffin Mill
Pick your own pumpkin patch and free wagon rides. Castle Moon Bounce for $1 and pony rides for $5. See the website for information on reservations for children’s groups.

Time: Monday through Friday 2pm to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 5pm

Cost: $.55 per pound for pumpkins. Admission and wagon rides are free!

Take a ride on the hay wagon out to their pumpkin patch if you prefer to pick your own, or just choose one from the selection at the checkout desk.

Time: Friday 1pm to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm

Cost: Ornamental pumpkins and gourds at $.50; pie pumpkins are $1.50; carving pumpkins are $3, $5, or $7
