Listen, I know there are some sports fans out there in the RVANews readership and although we never ask anything of you, except to handle the lack of sports content (wait for it), we need you to step up big time and pull of a major major internet upset. Like Howard Dean almost did but different.
ESPN is having a tournament. They have named the top states to play high school football in and Virginia is number 8. Since we are the last seed we will play the number 1 seed, Texas, in the first round. The state with the most votes wins. Check out more details here.
Since this is just as much about state pride as it is about high school football AND since we always have to compete with those Texas jokers in “state pride” we may as well kill two birds with one stone and take home the trophy. VOTING STARTS SEPT 1.
